Pietrafitta agricultural company
The Pietrafitta Agricultural Limited Company covers 233 hectares, for the most part uncultivated land, mainly woodland (155 hectares) and old pasturelands of various types (62 hectares). The cultivated land, hilly and facing south west, covers around 12 hectares divided into vineyards and olive groves. The soil, very rich in texture, is mainly characterised by calcareous-marl clays.
The Pietrafitta agricultural company is at the forefront in wine and oil production of the highest quality. All products are produced following very precise and rigorous guidelines.
All the land lies within the limits of the Chianti Classic CGDO, more precisely to the north of the municipality of Castellina in Chianti, near the boundary with Greve in Chianti. The altitude of the olive groves and the vineyards ranges from 360 to 500 metres. The company produces Olio del Borgo olive oil and three wines, CGDO Chianti Classic, PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) Toscana Red and PGI Toscana White.
